Creativity essentially comes as second nature to us- the man who invented the potter’s wheel and the man who invented the atomic bomb if nothing, have this in common. The only prerequisite is breaking down the self-invented walls of limitations.

We, at Little Orkid strive to serve as a reminder of creativity- a part of ourselves that we’re soon forgetting. We boast of a couture of classes for you to choose from so that you learn to think what nobody else does.

We go the long distance, helping in the preparation for exams such as Gandharva (Kathak), and Prayag (Music).

We are all born with an unexplained understanding of music. Music is indeed the voice of the soul.

Classical music can express an unlimited range of emotions and, at the same time, create these emotions in human beings. It adds dimension to our lives, and helps us grow intellectually and emotionally. Music can change the world, and it brings a change even within us- combating mental and physical ailments.

Employing the intrinsic knowledge of music, we train students in the oldest genres of Indian music:

Magic is something with an incredible ability to enrapture all ages. The enigma surrounding it and its apparent reality have been major points of contention.

Dance gives us a high, just as magic does; it’s just as thrilling and liberating. It is pure art in motion.

Finally being able to take that perfect pirouette instills confidence to achieve higher goals, a result of sheer commitment and discipline. Dance also teaches us life lessons- how with each step we build up to something greater (a performance perhaps).

Albert Einstein best known for his theory of relativity and his famous scientific equations owed his genius to music. It is little known, that he was an accomplished violinist, and in fact considered music a career path should his scientific discoveries yield no fruit.

He started playing when he was only 6, and confessed that ‘Lina’- his violin is what helped him overcome grief. He rarely ever left home without his music, and it is what inspired him in his daring scientific journey.

If a scientific stalwart such as Einstein hailed instrumental music, there must be truth to his claims.

Instrumental music is one of the most sacred art forms that inspires sincerity and deep feelings. It is no surprise that it is considered central to existence, and one’s own identity.

Every child is an artist in the way they imagine and create. Drawing enables children to draw their closest interpretation of something. More often it serves as the brush to the wild and varied canvas of their imagination. We at Little Orkid provide for ‘Sketch and Splash’ colours in our Drawing class so that they can find and lose themselves at the same time.

If your child stands still at the Lego blocks section every time you visit the mall, he/she has been infected by the creative bug!

It is true that children have a real understanding of only what they invent, unlike adults who can learn vicariously. This necessitates cognitive learning for children for lifelong lessons. Children don’t need to be taught everything, a major source of learning are their own discoveries.
